Anup Baishya is a senior journalist and experienced editorial professional with more than two decades of experience in Assamese print journalism.

He began his journalism career in 2003 with Dainik Asom, where he worked as a City Reporter from 2003 to 2007. On 1 October 2007, he joined Dainik Janambhumi as a Staff Reporter. Over the course of his career, he transitioned into editorial responsibilities, serving as a Sub-Editor before being promoted to Senior Sub-Editor, a position he has held during the last four to five years.

His professional experience encompasses news reporting, editorial work, news selection, editing and newsroom coordination, giving him extensive exposure to the functioning of Assamese print media.
