Dipankar Kalita is a young and active journalist in Assam’s media fraternity, with a professional career spanning several years. He formally began his journalism career in 2018 and has since built his professional journey on dedication, integrity and a strong commitment to journalism.

Currently, Dipankar Kalita serves as a Staff Reporter at NKTV PLUS, one of Assam’s prominent television news channels. Over the years, he has worked across both television and digital media, gaining experience in reporting and news production.

Before joining NKTV PLUS, Kalita worked as a Sub-Editor at Baar Othoro, a popular Assamese magazine published under the editorship of renowned journalist Homen Borgohain. He has also worked with several digital news platforms, including Zanagan News, Live7Sisters and My News NE, as well as television channel DA News Plus.

Alongside his journalism career, Dipankar Kalita has remained actively involved in social and professional activities within Assam’s media community. He currently serves as the Organizing Secretary of Gauhati Press Club for the 2025–2027 term, where he contributes to the Club’s programmes, organisational activities and initiatives for the journalism fraternity.

With experience across television, digital media and print, Dipankar Kalita continues to contribute to Assam’s evolving media landscape through professional reporting and active participation in the journalism community.
