Padmini Hazarika is a journalist and media professional associated with Asomiya Pratidin, where she serves as a Sub-Editor. She has been actively associated with the newspaper and the wider Assamese media fraternity. The Assam Directorate of Information and Public Relations’ list of recognised journalists also records her association with Asomiya Pratidin.

Padmini Hazarika currently serves as the Assistant General Secretary of Gauhati Press Club (GPC) for the 2025–2027 term. She was elected to the reserved Assistant General Secretary position in the GPC elections.

As Assistant General Secretary, she contributes to the Club’s organisational activities and initiatives concerning the professional interests, welfare and participation of journalists. She has also been part of GPC’s official engagements on issues concerning journalists and the media fraternity.
