Shah Alam is a journalist and media professional from Assam, currently serving as the Assistant General Secretary of Gauhati Press Club (GPC) for the 2025–2027 term. He is associated with NewzNow, where he has been actively involved in digital journalism and news reporting.

With professional experience in Assam’s evolving digital media landscape, Shah Alam has covered a wide range of political, social and public-interest issues. His work reflects an interest in current affairs, field reporting and issues concerning journalism and society.

Shah Alam has also been associated with professional initiatives concerning digital journalism and journalists’ rights. He was listed among the executive members of the Digital Media Journalists Forum, formed at Gauhati Press Club to address issues concerning the safety, recognition and professional development of digital journalists in Assam.

In his role as Assistant General Secretary, Gauhati Press Club, Shah Alam contributes to the Club’s organisational activities and initiatives concerning the professional interests, welfare and solidarity of journalists in Assam.
